GotOptions ("the Service", "the app", "we", "us") is an options-analytics tool published by Kearsarge Studios LLC, a New Hampshire limited liability company ("Kearsarge Studios"), available on the web and as an installable web app (PWA) you can add to your home screen or dock. Native iOS and Android apps are in development and are not available yet. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Service. By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service provides general, impersonal information, calculations, and example structures identical for all users. Kearsarge Studios LLC is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer, and nothing in the Service constitutes investment, legal, or tax advice or a recommendation regarding any security or strategy. Options involve substantial risk and are not suitable for all investors. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions; verify any data with your broker before acting on it.
Market data is obtained from third-party sources, may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable, and is provided "AS IS". We do not verify it and make no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Calculated values (such as Black-Scholes greeks and projected returns) are model outputs based on assumptions that may not match your situation.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kearsarge Studios shall not be liable for trading losses or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months.
You agree not to:
The Service, including its software, analytics, layout, and branding, is owned by Kearsarge Studios and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Market data remains the property of its respective owners.
GotOptions offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. By subscribing to Pro you agree to the following terms.
Pro is available on a monthly or annual billing cycle. Current pricing is shown on the pricing page and at the checkout step before you confirm; the price displayed at checkout is authoritative for your subscription.
Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for every purchase. Paddle is the reseller and seller of record for the transaction — not a payment gateway acting on our behalf. Concretely, Paddle is responsible for taking your payment, for collecting and remitting any applicable sales tax or VAT, for issuing your invoice and receipt, and for processing refunds and chargebacks. Kearsarge Studios remains responsible for the Service itself.
Because Paddle is the seller, Paddle — not Kearsarge Studios —
appears on your bank or card statement. Card charges show as
PADDLE.NET* followed by a short identifier for us; PayPal
charges show as PAYPAL *PADDLE.NET. If you do not recognise a
charge, that is why.
Cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Your purchase is also governed by Paddle's own buyer-facing terms:
The Paddle entity you contract with depends on where you are: Paddle.com Inc. in the United States, Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd. in Canada, and Paddle.com Market Limited elsewhere. Paddle provides first-line billing support — invoices, receipts, payment problems, refund requests — at paddle.net. Questions about the app itself still come to us (section 12).
Your Pro subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. The renewal charge is taken by Paddle from your payment method on file on the renewal date. You authorize this recurring charge when you subscribe and check the auto-renewal consent box at checkout.
You can cancel online at any time: open Settings → Billing, click Cancel subscription, and confirm once. Cancellation happens in the app; there is no further step. Manage billing, beside it, opens the secure customer portal for invoices and payment methods. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period: you keep Pro access through the period you already paid for, and no further charges occur. Beyond any refund required by law, we do not ourselves provide prorated refunds for the unused portion of a paid period.
This does not limit your refund rights against Paddle. Because Paddle is the merchant of record, refunds are requested from and issued by Paddle under the Paddle Refund Policy and the Paddle Buyer Terms, which may entitle you to a refund in circumstances this section does not cover — including a consumer right to cancel within a set period after purchase. Where those terms give you a broader right than this section, those terms apply. We cannot pay you a refund directly; request one through paddle.net, or contact us and we will raise it with Paddle.
If you are on the annual plan, we send a renewal-reminder email 15–45 days before each renewal date, stating the renewal date and amount, with a link to cancel before you are charged.
If you subscribed online, you can cancel online at any time using the path above; you never need to call, email, or write to us. California law requires this for California residents.
We may change subscription pricing on notice. We will give you at least 30 days' advance notice of any price increase by email and in-app notification before it takes effect. If you do not agree, cancel before the change applies.
New accounts may receive a time-limited Pro free trial; its current length is shown on the pricing page. The free trial is available once per person. Eligibility is tied to your email address, and deleting your account and signing up again with the same address does not make you eligible for another trial. No payment method is required to start the trial and no charge occurs at trial end — your account simply reverts to the Free plan unless you affirmatively subscribe. Starting a paid subscription is subject to the automatic-renewal terms above.
GotOptions is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account or start a trial.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the licenses granted to you end; sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 2–5, 7, and 10) survive termination.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Service are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
You and Kearsarge Studios agree that the exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing a claim in a small-claims court of competent jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Questions about these Terms: legal@kearsargestudios.com.
Billing, invoices, and refunds are handled by Paddle as merchant of record (section 8) — the fastest route is paddle.net. You can also write to support@kearsargestudios.com and we will take it up with Paddle on your behalf.
